Supplemental Figure 1 -
- PCA of MPM tumors. Figure Legend: We performed PCA using all 54 combined normal and tumor tissues and cell lines from Figure 1 and the 1,405 most variable transcripts used in unsupervised hierarchical clustering. We found that C1 (red spheres) and C2 tumors (dark blue spheres) can be easily separated from cell lines (light blue spheres) and normal tissues (green spheres) in 3-D space along the first principal component. The same could not be said for many of the 9 samples (open spheres) that did not cluster tightly with either C1 or C2 tumors. The dividing line was arbitrarily drawn to assist with visualization. Supplemental Figure 2 -
- Gene clusters from Figure 1, corresponding to bar 1. Genes are shown in greater detail and annotated with gene symbol (i.e. LocusLink identifier) and gene name (i.e. Unigene Title). Individual sample identifiers have been removed for the sake of clarity. Relative gene expression levels are given by scale in lower left. (PDF, 202 KB)
Supplemental Figure 3 -
- Gene clusters from Figure 1, corresponding to bar 2. Genes are shown in greater detail and annotated with gene symbol (i.e. LocusLink identifier) and gene name (i.e. Unigene Title). Individual sample identifiers have been removed for the sake of clarity. Relative gene expression levels are given by scale in lower left. (PDF, 502 KB)
Supplemental Figure 4 -
- Gene clusters from Figure 1, corresponding to bar 3. Genes are shown in greater detail and annotated with gene symbol (i.e. LocusLink identifier) and gene name (i.e. Unigene Title). Individual sample identifiers have been removed for the sake of clarity. Relative gene expression levels are given by scale in lower left. (PDF, 132 KB)
Supplemental Figure 5 -
- Gene clusters from Figure 1, corresponding to bar 4. Genes are shown in greater detail and annotated with gene symbol (i.e. LocusLink identifier) and gene name (i.e. Unigene Title). Individual sample identifiers have been removed for the sake of clarity. Relative gene expression levels are given by scale in lower left. (PDF, 491 KB)
Supplemental Figure 6 -
- Gene clusters from Figure 1, corresponding to bar 5. Genes are shown in greater detail and annotated with gene symbol (i.e. LocusLink identifier) and gene name (i.e. Unigene Title). Individual sample identifiers have been removed for the sake of clarity. Relative gene expression levels are given by scale in lower left. (PDF, 505 KB)
Supplemental Table 1
-
- Clinical data for specific tumor samples grouped according to unsupervised heirarchical cluster analysis (see also Figure 1 of article) (MSExcel Worksheet, 23KB)
Supplemental Table 2
-
- Complete listing of 113 genes with average expression levels that were significantly different between C1 and C2 tumors (MSExcel worksheet, 35KB)
Supplemental Table 3
-
- Information regarding 54 genes with average expression levels significantly different between MPM histological classes (MSExcel worksheet, 24 KB)
Supplemental Table 4
-
- Information regarding 328 genes differentially expressed at significantly higher levels in MPM tumors and 311 genes differentially expressed at significantly higher levels in normal samples (MSExcel worksheet, 137 KB)
Supplemental Figure 7
-
- Genes with known functions that are highly expressed in mesothelioma were used to create a large network of interrelated physiological pathways (expansion of the segment depicted in Figure 7 of the article). The intensity of the node color (red) corresponds to the fold-increase in average gene expression levels relative to normal tissues, which is listed immediately below the gene abbreviation of relevant nodes.
