About the Cover

Cover Figure

The Cover: Myocytes liberated from hypertrophied smooth muscle from a rabbit bladder with partial bladder outlet obstruction were cultured for 20 hours in 15 mM thymidine to prevent DNA synthesis and cellular proliferation during culturing. Cells are double-stained with antibody specific to smooth muscle myosin and antibody specific to caldesmon to demonstrate the co-localization of myosin and thin filament-associated protein caldesmon in the cytoplasmic fibrils. (See page 601).
