About the Cover

Cover Figure

The Cover: Invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast showing extremely bright telomere signals, corresponding to abnormally long telomeres (note the entrapped actin-positive normal acini within the lesion). In this case, the tumor telomere signals are so strong that, at this camera setting, the normal acini and stromal telomere signals are not visible. Approximately 5% of invasive ductal carcinomas have this phenotype. See page 925).
