On the Cover: Selective ablation of the murine αv integrin gene in epithelial cells of the eye induces ocular squamous cell carcinomas. Shown is a horizontal section of an embryonic mouse eye stained for β-galactosidase activity, identifying sites of Cre expression and αv flox/flox gene deletion: epithelial cells of the lens and conjunctiva. αv gene deletion also occurs in basal cells of the eyelid skin. (See page 1740).
