It has been brought to our attention that Figure 2 of “Expression of Transforming Growth Factor-β1 by Pancreatic Stellate Cells and Its Implications for Matrix Secretion and Turnover in Chronic Pancreatitis” (Volume 160, pages 1787–1798 of the May 2002 issue of The American Journal of Pathology, https://doi.org/10.1016/S0002-9440(10)61125-X) contains a duplication error: specifically that the Procollagen 1 4.1 kb images are identical.
This matter was brought to the attention of the Editors by the authors who state: “The duplication in question is merely confirmatory of primary data and the result is additionally independently verified in the control lane of Figure 5, this error in no way undermines the validity or conclusions of the paper.”
The original images for this manuscript are no longer available, so a replacement figure cannot be provided.
